Qatar Airways, being official sponsors for the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France, chose to feature women footballers for their campaign as the heroes of a child’s bedtime story in an imaginary world.
I liked the idea of the script, which highlights that football is not only a sport, but something much bigger. It has a way of bringing people together from all over the world and unites people of all ages – players and fans alike.
I remember spending time reviewing the ability levels of each of the hero players on the rehearsal day and together with the director, we selected specific moves for each of the players. We shot everything against green screen in the studio and we had a lot to film in the two shoot days. I was really pleased with the way some of the moves look in the final edit.
